CCCA is on summer break from June 11 through August 26, 2008. Students in grades one through five will return on Wednesday, August 27th. Kindergarten students will not attend a full day of school until Friday, September 5th. Kindergarten students "ease in" to attending school. They will be divided into four groups. A, B, C, D. Each group will attend one-half day, then three-fourths of a day, then a full day, each separated by a period of time between August 27th andSeptember 4th.

  • August 25—CCCA Staff returns.
  • Monday, August 18: Lunch orders must be turned in on or before this date if your child plans to order hot lunches at CCCA for August/September.
  • Monday, August 25: The CCCA staff returns to work. We’ll have a staff meeting much of the morning.
  • Tuesday, August 26: (a) Children/ parents in grades 1-5 are invited to bring their school supplies to CCCA and meet their teacher in their classrooms—1:00 – 3:00 P.M. (b) Kindergarten PARENTS are asked to attend a Kindergarten Orientation meeting in the kindergarten classrooms from 6:30 – 7:30 P.M. This is for adults only—no children, please.
  • Wednesday, August 27: (a) School officially starts for CCCA students in grades 1-5. (b) Circle of Prayer (grades 1-5) will take place at 8:45 A.M. in the turnaround area of the preschool parking lot. (c) Kindergarten Gentle Start begins for Kindergarten Group A from 1:00 – 3:15 P.M. in rooms 115 and 116.
  • Thursday, August 28: Kindergarten Gentle Start—Group B from 8:55 – 11:10 A.M.. Group C will come to CCCA from 1:00 – 3:15 P.M.
  • Friday, August 29: Kindergarten Gentle Start. Group D. 8:55 – 11:10 A.M.
  • Monday, September 1- LABOR DAY. NO SCHOOL.
  • Tuesday, September 2: School Spirit Day/The Spirit of Giving Day
  • Wednesday, September 3: Kindergarten Gentle Start: Groups A and B—8:55 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
  • Thursday, September 4: Kindergarten Gentle Start: Groups C and D—8:55 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
  • Friday, September 5 - (a) FIRST FULL DAY OF SCHOOL FOR ALL KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS. (b) Kindergarten Circle of Prayer at 8:45 A.M.-turnaround area of the preschool parking lot.
  • Tuesday, September 9: CURRICULUM NIGHT FOR GRADES ONE THROUGH FIVE. Each teacher in grades 1-5 will offer two similar sessions. Parents may choose which one to attend: 6:00 P.M. or 7:00 P.M. This is for adults only, please. No children.
  • Wednesday, September 17 - PTF Meeting. 6:30 P.M. Ballard Hall.
  • Thursday, September 18: Early dismissal for CCCA and Westerville City Schools. All CCCA students (car, van, bus) will be dismissed at 2:25 P.M. The staff will have an in-service from 2:45 – 4:00 P.M.
  • Thursday, September 25 - CURRICULUM NIGHT FOR KINDERGARTEN PARENTS: Rooms 115/116. 6:30 – 7:30 P.M. Adults only, please.
  • Friday, September 26 - The first PTF fund-raiser from ABUNDANT FUNDS starts today.
